Veritas Genetics startup hacked

THE NEXT WEB reports (read it here) that Veritas Genetics, a DNA-testing startup, got snookered by "unauthorized access involving a consumer-facing portal." Again, the PR flacks muddle about with statements like: "While it did not contain genetic data or health records, the details are very scarce at the moment." Obviously the start-up didn't have the few hundred dollars necessary to invest in DMARC enforcement.

Penny wise and flipping foolish.
