Lifting a line from the infamous cult classic Animal House, Hyatt Hotels screwed up, big time. How? Quoting Akamai's sales rep, "You trusted us." You see, Hyatt's Web presence is served up by Akamai, who doesn't appear to have ever heard of email impersonation or fraud enforcement. After what happened to Marriott, I strongly suggest that your trust is damnably misplaced. If I were a betting man, I'd suggest shorting both Hyatt and Akamai stock. Because I predict some nasty headlines are in your near future.
