RUSSIAN "FANCY BEAR UEFI ROOT KIT" SNEAKS ONTO WINDOWS PCS

I saw a headline last week that Windows 10 is the most popular OS in the world. Question: Isn't that reason enough to abandon Windows PCs? Most popular means most hacked.
The latest 'Lojax' is an infection that embeds itself within the motherboard firmware of Windows PCs.  Sure, those in the computer supply chain can enable "Secure Boot," but what confidence do you have in the competence of everyone in your supply chain? So, do YOU know who made your firmware? Like, uh, what country they live in? Is your hardware vendor able to guarantee that Secure Boot in the BIOS settings is enabled to prevent changes?
